Bank account

Wikimedia Belgium owns the following bank accounts:

• Expense account, internal to Wikimedia Belgium; the main current account
• Foundation account, to manage receiving, allocating, and returning of Foundation grants
• Savings account, long and medium term funds, not allocated (yet) to projects
• e-DEPO savings account, managed by the Belgian Federal Government
• PayPal account; not actively used

Bank transactions

• Processed and approved by 2 board members (4-eyes principle)
• Need to be audited by the kascommissie, before approval of the financial statements
• We do not have a bank card, nor credit card
• We never use cash
  • All payments are done via wire transfer, based on invoice or expense claim
• (large) Invoices require a preceding order, and Board approval, depending on the amount
• Transactions are certified by PDF (non-repudiation) account transaction statement, and CAMT.053 XML or Excel extracts for transparant reporting and auditing
