Wikimedia Belgium has 2 savings accounts.

Due to changes in interest rates in 2023 we deposited our longterm savings into the e-DEPO with the Belgium Government, which offers an increased interest rate.

For the same reason we transferred the Foundation grant to our short-term savings account. This will compensate for the current account expenses, and avoids the risk for direct debit fraud.

Fiscal rules

1. Savings-accounts are subject to a bevrijdende roerende voorheffing van 30%
2. Long-term savings are subject to the Patrimoniumtaks
