Board members wantededitWikimedia Belgium is holding a general meeting this summer. Only effective members have the right to vote, but everyone is invited to attend. In principle, the general assembly will take place by videoconference. There is also a new board member election. We are looking for new candidates to strengthen our team. Heritage campaigneditSince April we have been working together with the Erfgoedcel Pajottenland-Zennevallei to make an inventory of the region's heritage, to take photos and to write articles on Wikipedia. Read more on the project page. Woman and danceeditIn collaboration with CEMPER and meemoo we have set up a project to better document Woman and dance. We want to make the performing arts better known. Webinar "Writing for Wikipedia"editAs part of these projects we have made an inventory of Wikidata and lists of possible pages are automatically collected through Listeria. We have recorded a video of the webinar that we presented on this occasion. Corona measureseditAll physical activities of Wikimedia Belgium have been postponed until after 15 September, on the orders of the Wikimedia Foundation. Therefore, we will only hold activities via videoconferencing and webinars. Our fortnightly Wiki Club Brussels is still running as videoconferencing. Cooperation with museums and librarieseditDue to the corona measures, the projects with museums and libraries have been temporarily postponed. We will keep you informed when we get back to work. Instead of physical activities, it is now better to complement Wikipedia and related projects. Supporting volunteerseditWikimedia Belgium wants to support volunteers who contribute to the various Wikimedia projects. If you have an interesting project, or a question, please let us know. If you have technical questions, you may also be able to share your screen. You do not need a Google account to use this service. Fiscal gift through the King Baudouin FoundationeditThe Friends of Wikimedia Belgium Fund is recognized by the King Baudouin Foundation. Your donations will be used to fund Wikimedia Belgium's projects approved by the Fund. Donations of no less than 40 € per year or more to the Foundation will, in principle, give you a tax reduction of 45% on the amount actually paid (art. 145/33 WIB).
